Anzac Day

26 April 2010

More than 60 students from Waimea College’s Concert Orchestra, Camerata & Belle a Cappella choirs performed at the Richmond Anzac Day Service on Sunday 25 April. This year saw record numbers of public attendees who came to pay their respects. Waimea College is honoured to have been a part of the remembrance service.

  1. Great work, everyone. The feedback from parents, staff and the general public has been superb. You did Waimea College proud, and you provided a great service to the community; especially the proud men and women who have served and are serving in New Zealand’s armed forces in order to give us the peaceful way of life we enjoy.

Thanks to all the parents who provided transport for all that gear. We couldn’t have done it without you!

We also couldn’t have done without the great efforts of orchestra conductor, John Hudson, Camerata conductor, Barbara Grant, Assistant Conductor, Steve Bellis, and Arts Co-ordinator, Trish Sullivan. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
